Live watercolour demonstration!

If you're a fan of watching painting shows like Bob Ross, Landscape Artist of the year or Watercolour Challenge, then you might like to come along and watch me paint a watercolour landscape live! I can't promise that it will be anywhere near as entertaining as watching artists on TV ~ but you will get the chance of a cup of tea and a piece of cake halfway through!

I will be painting this Lake District Landscape in watercolour at the Caterham Art Group meeting on Wednesday 23rd November. The session runs from 7.30-9PM members get in free, non-members £5, Students £2. Throughout the evening you will get the chance to ask questions, which I will endeavour to answer! You will also have time to come and have a chat about art, watercolour or classes with me during the break or when the demonstration finishes.

During the demonstration I will talk you through how I plan a composition, decide on a colour palette, how to use basic watercolour techniques, plus lots of helpful hints & tips, which I hope you will find interesting!

If you enjoy the evening and would like the chance to see other artists creating using a whole range of media, you might even decide to go for it and join the group! Annual Membership is £30 (your £5 entry fee will be deducted from the annual fee if you join on the night). As a member, you will receive a monthly newsletter packed with lots of art news, including demonstrations, club challenges and creative workshops being offered through a number of different channels. You will also find out about opportunities to go along on sketching days, plus the chance to exhibit your own work in the Summer exhibition. Don't forget you will also get the chance to see the monthly artist demonstrations for free throughout the year!

Hopefully see you there!
