Happy Holidays!

ree

I can't quite believe that a whole year has passed since wishing you all a Happy Christmas 2024!

It's at this time of year, I find myself reflecting, and thinking about how thankful I am for the good things that have come my way in 2025. So on that note ~ I just wanted to tell all of the members of my Watercolour School just how thankful I am that you are right here with me and have chosen to come along with me on the watercolour bus! Without your support I would be unable to live my dream of a life filled with watercolour and creativity. Thank you for showing up to classes despite the weather and traffic diversions! Thank you for your enthusiasm and hard work (watercolour really IS hard work!). Thank you for all your kind words and feedback. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work on the forum. Thank you for all your likes and encouragement over on Instagram. THANK YOU!

So...for the last watercolour tutorial of 2025 all members of the website will have access to this cute, Holiday project for FREE!! ~ Just a wee 'Thank You' from me to you. I hope you really enjoy it!

This is such a quick and easy project and is perfect to get wee ones involved in too ~ so you can spend some quality time being creative together! All you need to do is print off the outline shapes and add as many colours and patterns you like.

If you don't have paints and you want to keep little ones busy they could use markers, crayons or colour pencils on your print out instead ~ I've attached the PDF here if you would like it.

If you plan to paint your bunting shapes you can follow along with the videos as usual ~ and, as usual, I will give you some more ideas on patterns, colours and how to adapt your designs as we go along!

Once you have drawn your designs you will work mainly onto dry to add seasonal motifs and patterns, building up your design as you go along. Once complete, you can also add a touch of sparkle with metallic colours or markers. You can even embellish the shapes with stick on jewels, pompoms, puffy paint, gel pens, glitter etc etc. It's a great excuse to get out the bits and bobs box and get making ~ the sky is the limit!

To find out more about what this tutorial entails, take a quick look at the video below:

If you really get into this Holiday fun ~ don't forget there are a few other winter tutorials available which would also work well as bunting shapes alongside the cosy winter accessories.

There are some great Chrsimas tree designs.

Plus the different Christmas Icons we painted a few years back!

So that's a wrap on the tutorials for 2025 ~ I wish you lots of lovely things over the Holiday Season and I look forward to painting with you in January!

Happy Painting!
