As Christmas ends and New Year approaches I am reminded of all the fantastic support I have received from everyone who has come along with me on our watercolour adventures of 2022! I am so grateful to everyone who has joined our online watercolour community, attended classes, visited my studio, popped by to see me at local fairs or who has supported my artistic endeavours and purchased art from me ~ be it past or present. I Thank you!
I feel blessed to have a creative job, where I can make a living painting, learning, experimenting and teaching every day. Without your support, none of this would be possible and I would be unable to work at what I love doing.
In celebration of 2022, I have put together this little re-cap of all the painting projects that I have added to the Online Watercolour School this year. Can you spot the ones you have tried?
I have so enjoyed creating and sharing all of these projects with you ~ but most of all, I have enjoyed seeing all the fantastic paintings you have created in response! It's such a thrill to see your beautiful work, so if you have a favourite painting you have completed this year, and you have not yet posted it on the forum, I would really love to see it there. If you're not sure how to upload your photos, there's a short guide in the 'how to use this site' section of the blog.
Whenever I look back over the past term (or in this case the entire year), I'm always amazed at the range of subjects, styles and techniques we have managed to cram in ~ I do hope you have enjoyed the projects as much as I have teaching them. And if you have kept up with them all ~ I applaud you! .
As 2022 comes to a close, here's hoping you are not too exhausted painting up a storm, as 2023 will soon be upon us and I've got lots of lovely plans for new projects next year! So with brushes rested over the Christmas period and your painting batteries recharged, get yourself ready for lots of new watercolour challenges ahead!
