I was recently informed that two of my submissions to the SAA Artist of the Year Competition '22 have made it to the final group!!! This is so exciting as I have entered a few times before and only once made it through to the second round. There were 2939 entries in total this year and that has been whittled down to 306. Winners will be informed by the beginning of August so I'm keeping everything crossed!
Alongside the judges votes there is also a People's Choice Award and the SAA have suggested that all finalists rally support and get people voting ~ so this is where you can get involved! It seems a bit against the grain to beg for votes but I am going to put my shame on the back burner!

Once there you can scroll through the finalists and click on the ones you would like to vote for. You will need to click the 'show more' button as it only displays a few at a time. It's not in alphabetical order ~ so it's a case of scrolling down - my entries are about half way through. There is some fantastic work to be seen and you can vote for multiple paintings (but only once for each) so why not make a cuppa and spend twenty minutes taking a look?! If you would like to vote just click on the Vote button underneath the painting. As you can see from the screen shot I actually already have some votes which is fab ~ but a few more would be even better!
I will be keeping everything crossed for the final announcements ~ watch this space and Instagram to find out what happens next!
